A Little About Me

I’m 26 years old, originally from Oliver, BC, and I’ve been part of Cochrane for fifteen years. I’m a father to an almost five-year-old son, who inspires me every day to work toward a stronger, more connected community.

I bring a diverse background in technology, construction, and local business. I’ve worked in IT for over ten years, including as a Network Engineer, a technician at a local computer store, and a technical consultant for a video game. I’m also a partner in a local Internet Service Provider and operate Cochrane’s first Autonomous System Number (ASN), a technically complex and highly regulated operation that ensures reliable internet access. I’ve helped businesses around Cochrane configure security policies and gained practical experience in construction.

Outside of work, I enjoy hands-on projects and learning new things. I write small software programs, tinker with electronics, experiment as a hobbyist chemist, build model rockets, and collect vintage computers. I also enjoy reading history, business management, and technical literature, and I’m passionate about debating politics and researching solutions to real-world problems.
